Robert, do you want a casting slip, or a slip to cover a form? Or a
slip to add colorants?

I have a recipe for a white "casting" slip, however it is not translucent.
For a translucent porcelain you would want to use Kaolin's low in titanium.
As far as I know. (Titanium refracts light - It is however very white).
Grolleg Kaolin is translucent. So use that as a starting point, add your
flux,
and flint.

Cone 6 White Casting slip
0.5% abs. at cone 5 to 7.
Very white, but a bit chalky looking, may increase flux.

30.00 Kaopaque
10.00 #6 Tile
50.00 Neph Sy.
10.00 Superpax
00.1% Spectrum stain blue

Kat -

This slip would be for making antique porcelain doll reproductions, so
your casting slip should fit the bill. Translucence is not needed, but
a surface texture that will grab onto china paint is a must. A chalky
look is probably good.

Thanks,

Robert
