Ruth. I just wonder. I AM TOTALLY IGNORANT ABOUT THIS but there are =
real smart ones out there.
Some years back I wanted to build a small fuel burning kiln as a test =
kiln. And, having read about this, including in Leach's book, where he =
uses a blowtorch-- I took up the suggestion of using a leaf burner or =
similar to fire the kiln. At the time I got a lot of good suggestions =
and recommendations. =20
I wonder if this might not work for you. A small kiln fired with =
propane. I think you should be able to throw in some wood slivers for =
the ash--if that is what you want.
AS DISCLAIMED ABOVE: I really know nothing about this, as I did not =
pursue the matter. But it might be a way for you to go, and I expect =
the kind generous folk who DO know will help...
