Hi Anne,
It weaves in-and-out babe...
...weaves in and out...
And, so far as 'logic' to protest it (which may have little
bearing here, as you must now conceed I think,)...these
several posts about how 'Tires' are not 'Clay', are
themselves, not about 'Clay'...nor about Tires even...
So just go with it...
I do, or, I make a rare deteur now, to ramble with your
concern.
We need 'Tires' to drive the Roads to do the things and get
the things we need to make the Pots.
We need Vehicles, and, maybe moreso, we rely on general
knowledge gained or disseminated
incidentally in the guise of addressing something else...
No different than a 'kiln'...or a slabroller; just one more
step in the ladder or the hop-scotch layout of how things
get done. And, or, of how we think. And how we think, or if
we do, also is a component of 'how' we get things
'done'...or do not get done.
Also, the 'Tire' question was about ethos and logistics and
feelings about community and 'marketing', and how one may
wish, AS a producer or Potter or retailer or as a Gallery or
whatever, to enjoy 'local' patronage...and, how do we in
turn, do business 'locally'...when we need something? A
coralarry to 'Pot' matters...
On and on...
It is all a synergism of sorts, a Stew...and a 'weave'...it
weaves (seemingly) "out", and in...but it is never really
'out' if you know how to read it, or to find the corallary
or paralell or selient pulse.
Now with all these 'engineering' posts...do you own a
'Wheel'? A "slabroller"...a Kiln? Anything?
You could have learned several things now about it, in ways
you may not have expected to do...even 'if' the posts seemed
to be...'about' something else...or not about a Wheel per
se...yet tell us much about our Wheels...or can...
And...it is okay to let it do so...
Let it weave...
Best wishes!
Phil
