just gotta know if anyone re-sieves thier glazes each time they start to
glaze. i might just be dreaming but after watching and writing about results
in my little notebook my results are different the day i mix a new glaze
than the next time i use it. i think i mix preety thorough before use and
re-mix /stir often but i get different results.is it just my imagination???
just getting back to the wheel,i started throwing pots after 20 years of
auto tech work, said i wasnt ever going to turn wrenches again, looked out
and had 4 broken vehicles down to nothing but 2 kick start harleys in north
carolina winter(50 degrees on day,25 the next) just got 3 running again
gonna take a break and throw pots in the morning.

Hi Gordon,
No it isn't your imagination. It depends on the raw materials that you =
are using. Some glazes are best when used immediately and glazes, for =
example, glazes mixed for classroom use in large quanities will hold =
with a good mixing for several weeks. A little bit of research on your =
ingredients will give you an idea of how long certain oxides etc. stay =
in suspension.
