Glaze test for Graces "B" Base, cone 6 ox.

Glaze tested on white midrange stoneware fired in electric oxidation to =
1220c.

Firing ramp:
100c p/h to 600c (212f - 1112f)
150c p/h to 1100c (330f - 2012f)=20
100c p/h to 1220c (212f - 2228f)
5 min. soak
cool down max. to 800c
Hold 1 hour
Shut off kiln

Recipe:

20 Frit 3134
20 Dolomite
20 Kona F-4 Soda Spar
20 OM4 Ball Clay
20 Silica

Note: All raw materials are measured up or down to the nearest whole =
decimal. =20
Colorants or additives to a 100 gram test batch are measured in percent =
to the 100 gram test batch.

Substitutions:
Frit J for Frit 3134
Feldshammer feldspar for Kona F-4


Results:
Base is a smooth, semi mat milky glaze. Waxy and Vellum quality.

Colorants added and results:

2 Cobalt Carb.
Lavender Blue

2 Cobalt Carb.=20
1 Tin Oxide
White Lavender Blue

1 Cobalt Carb.
2 Chrome=20
Teal green

10 Rutile
Beige and pink fur

10 RIO
Brown with some breaking Black..

10 Zirocpax
Bright White
