Well, wotza gull to do?
I knew all along that that plaster had passed its prime but I just hate =
throwing out things. (All the stuff that leaves my fridge for the =
compost heap has turned green and furry and walks there on its own)
Thanks all who told me what I feared I knew. I actually made a small =
sample batch of the plaster and tested it, using an egg carton as "mold" =
and it is tool new to tell if it will be soft or not. Whatever. I will =
use the rest of the plaster--as it does set up-- to make a thick drying =
bat. As much as I dislike plaster in the studio I do make drying bats =
which I line with cloth before putting clay in.
Many thanks to all, including the darlings who wrote me off list and =
also said nice friendly things.

Dear Lili'
"Dead" plaster is not useless.
Recrushed to a powder it can be used to lighten heavy clay soils.
Dig the stuff in and improve the fertility of your garden if needs be
Best regards,
