drying thick pots

Usually when I have some things requiring quick and complete drying before
bisque I put them on a metal bread rack over the open top of my electric
kiln. Turn the bottom element on low over night. By morning they are dry,
ready to load and bisque fire. I once had problems with the bottoms of
freshly thrown ware busting in the bisque when I try and rush a few more
pots in the load. It is sometimes hard to tell on large pieces, they look,
feel dry on the bottom but not all the way through even if you have them
outside all day.
