when god created the earth he/she made clay.
there are many kinds, colors, sizes, textures.
it is all clay.
why would one be better than the other?
why would we say porcelain is better than
terra cotta?
does one say that maria martinez was not a good
potter because she worked with a stick fire?
of course not.
do we minimize those that do majolica?
of course not.
is raku stoneware?...is it better, or less important?
it is clay.
we all work with clay.
many ways, many ideas, we fire to many temperatures.
ron roy loves clay.
he makes things from white.pure.porcelain. so be it.
that is what he does. so be it.
i like stoneware. it is what i do.
but, linda in florida makes earthenware. it is what she
does. it is wonderful.
snobbery is a state of mind. never a fact.
snobbery is in the hands of folks that serve the moron chip.
it is alive and well. you see them on the highway with
a big hummer, cell phone in their ear. gold wealth showing.
loud, obnoxious, stupid, boring.
like hollywood stars.....always fawning each other.
