These are the assignments so far (excluding the present one of course). =

Christmas term 2002
Produce a piece of work, either sculptural or vessel, based on a natural =
organic form which must be in the character of either Hans Coper, =
Elizabeth Fritsch or Ewan Henderson.
Easter Term 2003
Having researched drinking vessels in one month produce four drinking =
vessels, each of which will be made with a different technique and there =
will be either and at least one of each ritual and utilitarian, but 4 in =
all.
Summer Term 2003
Research buildings / architecture through drawings and maquettes design =
a casket/container for a collection of precious but valueless objects =
(e.g. bones, pebbles, shells) belonging to an architect. It is to be =
slab built using leather hard clay (college grey). You may use slips on =
the exterior. You must use ash glaze on the interior.
Christmas Term 2003
Research David Pye's book "The nature and Art of workmanship".
You are then asked to imagine that you will be entertaining David Pye =
for tea and produce work which he would feel comfortable with.
