Dolita,
I would get the most capacity you can in the digital scale. For the
price differential it's definitely worth it. I have a small digital
scale that can go way past 2000 grams and it was less than $80. If you
are mixing a big batch of glaze, you can "zero out" the scale after you
add each ingredient so that it always starts reading 0 grams. I got the
one that was only accurate to .2gms. I wish I had gotten to .1. If I
were buying again, I would get the most capacity I could (within
reason). I do also use the scale for weighing balls of clay for mugs or
matching things. Good luck.

Will a digital scale with a 1200g-.1g capacity be high = enough?
Probably will never make more than what will fit in a 5 gal. = bucket.
What if I bought a small digital with a 250g-.01 capacity and a = triple
beam 2610? I have searched the archives and

ebay is wonderful for used scales.

Hi Loren,
I bought a spare scale on ebay last year for $18+ shipping. Try that for
bargains, the one I bought came with spare weights and a wooden box for
storage.

Check your local sheriff's office. They often have triple beams that have
been seized. They may have them up for auction.

Loren, try a site like affordablescales.com to see what's out there. 0.1
gram readability and 1Kg max will mean a pretty expensive scale, you might
be better off getting a large capacity one that reads to a couple grams and
a low capacity one that can take you to the o.1 level. Five significant
figures is a lot to ask of a bench kind of balance/scale.

I have a My Weigh i2600 and love it. It has a 2600 g capacity x 0.1g. I bou=

We just took another looked at our MyWeigh i2500, not i2600.
Ours has a capacity of 2500 gm, and measures to +/- 0.5 gm,
not 0.1 gm. Do y'all have a different scale?

In a previouslife I bought an electronic retail scale for the store at whic=
h
I worked.
I chatted with the repairman about the balance scales he was repairing.
His take on it (from fisheries in alaska) were job security for him and he
was glad there were still people dumb enough to buy them.(No reflection on
you that waas his opinion. I can see the esthetics of owning a concrete
reality scale but can't afford one.)
Electronic scales were boring. They either worked consistently and
accurately or not at all. When they didn't work you just replaced the
pressure sensor.
The dietary scale I bought has worked consistently for 3 years. A low
battery will give strange results but my outcomes have always made sense.

I have the i2600, so it seems that you do have a different scale. And the i=
2600 measures to 0.1 g. You can check it out on bigceramicsstore.com
