Morning,
Shopping for a test kiln that will reach a true ^10.
Can that temp. range be achieved with 110V?
Very good reliability would be a plus.

John,
L&L sells a 110V Baby-doll kiln that reaches cone 10 fairly easily and works
nicely as a test kiln.

No Problem with my little Aim 88. It runs on 120 volts not 110 and I
have it plugged into my Bailey on the wall controller. I have
installed a 20 amp fused 120 volt socket on the Bailey and the kiln
is plugged into that. It hits cone 10 regularly. With this setup I
can do controlled cooling just the same as the big kiln. I need new
elements every so often, Kiln and elements have the full ITC
treatment.

Yes, you can buy a true cone 10 kiln that fires on 120 volts. If it is small
enough, it will reach cone 10.
