Dear Friends,
The question of the effects of increasing chimney stack height and the =
speed of the smoke seems to be under control but I perceive another =
problem to be solved.
Just how much force is needed to retain control over spinning clay. The =
Physical Mechanics of the Potter's Wheel seem to by unknown. How do =
wheel manufacturers solve problems relating wheel speed, motor size, =
maximum clay load?. Are there any relationships between these factors =
and the end user?. How do Wheel Makers arrive at the design of their =
products?.
Something for those not attending N...... in Ind.... to think about for =
a couple of weeks.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia
