silicone glove for throwing

HI Edy,

Gayle pointed out something about glazng with silicone glove that made me want to let you know that I've ONLY used it for throwing. I have NO clue how it would work for the glazing process.( for the reasons she stated) I should have been more specific. (something I'm working hard at) For glazing I just bite the bullit, let my skin get dry & use LOTS of lotion when I'm done for the day.

Use surgical gloves for glazing - I have done so for years. Also for loading
kilns and mixing glaxes - in fact anything but throwing. I saves getting
hangnails.

For gloves when throwing, use the stretching gloves you get for about a
dollar a pair. They are really small, but stretch to fit anyone

Hi. One of our long-time guild members ALWAYS wears surgical gloves for
throwing. She instructed for many years, many hours a day. I doubt she`d
feel comfortable without, like me with the sponge in the right hand.
Best wishes from Lela, where the wind blows at 100 kph. during the day,
keeping the temp. above freezing.

I've wondered if think deerskin or kid gloves would work for
throwing? Entire hand as chamois?
