Has any one had any experience with the glaze? Firing? Thickness? =
Beading? Rivulets?

I want to use it on some pieces but have not had a chance to test it.

Hi Randy,
I made this glaze with gerstley borate instead of 3134. Wood ash is
variable. Who knows if yours is anything like mine, about which I know
nothing at all. My glaze runs in rivulets when I dip the rim in the glaze.
If I brush it on, it flows and forms rivulets. I always leave four inches
minimum running space. It is generally blue but that really depends on the
glaze underneath it. I get silver as well when I use it over Xavier's Warm
Jade Green (another one by Val Cushing). It's the old test test test and
fire your pots on pancakes.
I fire it using my normal schedule for ^6 - nothing special needed.
Best regards,
Carol

It might be a very runny glaze.
Because of the low alumina and silica with the high cobalt.
The very high CaO might contribute to less maturing which might oppose
the factors I meant before.
It looks interesting. I shall test it.
You better test it over a catcher the way we do in crystal glazes.
