A few years ago I started making goats milk soap. It is nice and very kind
to dry skin. At that time I was not doing much with clay. About two years
ago my dh and I got things set up so we can play in clay as much as we want
again. After a few months I was rebatching a lot of clay and started to
think about the fact that I was not using tons of intensive care lotion on
my hands. In fact I was not using any. When I got through with clay I washed
with a felted bar of tea tree oil soap I had made and that was all.
Well it has gotten even better. Now this bar of soap has a felted layer on
the outside of it and works like a rough wash cloth wrapped around a great
bar of soap. Takes off that clay up your arm and under the fingernails too.
We now have a web page where you can order one or two to try and I'll make
a deal for Clay art members and include a free regular bar with any order if
you just tell me you are a potter and saw it here.
By the way, I have been potting for 50 years now and have no adverse effect
from any of the art except this unending need to look at the bottom of every
pottery object I see. Do you think it's a reaction to the dust?
