I have access to about 120 kiln bricks that are broken in 2 pieces. I
have both pieces and these bricks are in pretty good shape and fit well
together. Is there a place in the kiln where these bricks would best go?
The floor will be 2 layers of IFB with a layer of hardbrick on top. The
walls are 2 bricks thick (9"). I would like to use these bricks as I
have them. I am thinking of using them in the underfloor or in the
chimney. Any comments?

Janet -
The floor is the perfect place to use these bricks. I have always used up
broken IFB in the kiln floor. I do as you are planning to do - two layers
of IFB and then a hotface layer of hardbrick to support the kiln set. But
there is no reason to use hardbrick under the walls - just use IFB there.
Good luck -
