I found the purple nitrile gloves last night
on the shelves of the
local Rite-Aid drugstore so assume that others
must carry them also. Have they been there
all along? This is the first time I've noticed
them. They were around four to six dollars
for a box of 100.

In the Mojave where this morning at 6 there
was a brand-new baby cottontail just outside
the side door when I let the westie out. The
rabbit was watching something; the westie
watched the rabbit; I watched the westie. The
puppy went on a sort of point and prepared
to dash just as the rabbit wiggled its nose
and took a bite of dried desert weeds ..... the
westie then visibly reconsidered, stretched
and lay down to
watch ..... we were each about 8 feet away
from one another....... just watching.... for the
longest time. The westie's been away, too, so
this bunny probably has grown up thus far
without knowledge of the ferocity of
Little White Dog..... I've seen MoJo do the
same with quail, especially baby quail.... tiger
out into the middle of a covey..... then lie
down in their midst and watch them.....
