1/2 hour east of Rocky Mountain National Park.

BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE I April 9-11, 2004 and
BEGINNERS/INTERMEDIATE II October 1-3, 2004
Topics covered: Overview of Glaze materials; designing, mixing and
firing a glaze; making, using and removing catchers; firing (electric
and gas), growing crystals; keeping testing and firing logs; developing
testing methods. $150.
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES I May 7-9, 2004 and
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES II October 15-17, 2004
Topics Covered: Reduction colors, Raku effects and use of rare earth
elements with and without more common colorants; crystal seeding; use of
precious metals in crystalline glazes. Designing and mixing porcelains
and stoneware for use with crystals. Developing testing techniques for
new materials. Please bring an object or two for Show and Tell. $175.
For all workshops: Please bring no more than three pieces to glaze,
measuring a maximum of 8" in height/diameter. Be aware there are
-many- cats here, and four large friendly dogs. Electric kiln reduction
techniques require you to sign a release before I'll teach you. There is
absolutely no smoking anywhere on the grounds.
Payment of 1/2 the workshop fee (non-refundable) due 30 days before
workshop begins in order to secure your spot. Spring workshops are
nearly full, so speak up now.
