Hi George,
I had the same idea, and used an old one. It's pretty tedious grinding
away at clay lumps, but it did a good job reclaiming my porcelain scraps.
Instead of cleaning the grinder after each use, I wrapped it tight in
plastic. Seems to work. Good thing I'm pretty much a vegetarian. The meat
grinder was just sitting there...
