Kasia,

I've never been there, unfortunately, but the Blue Moon Gallery (if my
memory isn't failing me) has wonderful ceramics from what I understand,
including the work of Michael Sherrell....among many other wonderful clay
artists.

Dear Clayarters,

I'll be in Ashville visiting Warren Wilson College in the second week of
April. I'd love to check out the pottery/art scene in the area. Any
recommendations?

Biltmore House, Bellagio, New Morning Gallery, Blue Spiral Gallery, Judith
Duff near Brevard, Penland School of Crafts between Spruce Pine and
Burnsville, The Energy Exchange near Burnsville, Odyssey Gallery in
Asheville, Fork Mountain Pottery (Suze Lindsay and Kent McLaughlin), Pine
Root Pottery (Mark Peters), Rock Creek Pottery (Will Ruggles and Douglass
Rankin), Sedberry Pottery, Cynthia Bringle, Terry Gess, to name just a few.
Get maps at Odyssey Gallery and at Penland. Go online and look up Potters of
the Roan. Look for a website for Weaverville Art Safari. There is too much
to do or see - better book a room for a month.
