I met Arch Pike in the early 70's when i was working for Charles Counts..
Arch has been making pots for years.. He has NO insurance,, He has been in the
hospital for 2 months dealing with Leukemia..
Arch was at the Alabama Clay Conference 2 years ago doing a demo of
throwing.. As usual he was very funny, he has a great sence of humor...I got a email
from Ursula Vann this morning telling me about a Benifit for Arch Friday , April
9 2004 in Huntsville Alabama.. Ursala will be sending me more info as far as
how i can help my friend Arch..
Arch told me that he had gone to see Charles Counts and had decided he wanted
to be a full time potter also,, Charles influenced lots of us
