Which book? Morgan's first book (he was editor and contributor) is
"Japanese Tea Culture: Art, History, and Practice" (Routledge Curzon, 2003).
It is a scholarly publication with a fairly limited first edition, and thus
is very expensive. The book based on Morgan's doctoral dissertation is
"Handmade Culture: Raku Potters, Patrons, and Tea Practitioners in Japan"
(University of Hawaii Press) and will hopefully be out sometime in 2005.
Even though this is also a scholarly publication, Morgan writes very well in
very accessible language, and the book will have lots of illustrations, so I
expect it will be quite popular in the studio ceramics world.
Thanks for asking about Morgan. He is among my favorite topics.
