when i shoot pix for publication, and i do a great
deal of it.

i think in terms of a foot of depth of field.
a full 12 inches at least.
if you don't understand this concept...get a
book and do some reading.
it is a must.

adjust your light to the f22 half second.

mel's comments made me open up my camera bag ..... I believe that he is=20
indicating that you should use the highest numbered f stop available under t=
he=20
prevailing light conditions which means the smallest opening of the lens (so=
that=20
the least amount of light can come in from various angles) ....... my 50 mm=20
Nikon lens has f 16 as the highest available f stop and I had thought that t=
his=20
was sufficient for appropriate depth of field, but I noticed that my 105 mm=20
lens has both f 22 and f 32 ....... I would guess that there are some 50 mm=20
lenses with an f 22, so you might take that into consideration when shopping=
for=20
equipment. These types of lenses in mint used condition are really inexpens=
ive=20
these days - and getting more so -=20
