Suze Lindsay is conducting a clay workshop for Shakerag Workshops, in
Sewanee, TN, entitled "Exploring the Teapot" in which she will demonstrate
different forms for teapots, including various methods of creating handles,
lids, and spouts. Images of Lindsay's work can be seen at on the Shakerag
website - www.shakerag.org. The workshop will be held from June 20-25, 2004.
Tuition for the week-long workshop is $375; room and board is $300. Lindsay
writes about her class:
"This class will focus on craftsmanship and function; we will pay
attention to details of form in pots from foot to spout. We will explore
scale and altering out of the round, and we will concentrate on surface
decoration, using slips on greenware."
For more information about the workshop, and to register for it, please log
