Exciting news:
The analysis cam back on two slip clays I have been testing as replacements
for Albany slip.
BBMP95
Si=58.3 Al=17.2 Fe=5.1 Ca=3.0 Mg=2.3 Na= 2.1 K=3.2 Ti=0.7
KFMP87
Si=50.0 Al=19.4 Fe=9.0 Ca=1.9 Mg=4.3 Na=1.8 K=3.9 Ti=0.8

Si=57.8 Al=14.6 Fe=5.2 Ca=5.8 Mg=2.7 Na= 0.8 K=3.2 Ti=0.4
If anyone who has real Albany on hand would like to do side by side trials
and report back to the group, I would be willing to send samples.
BBMP95 would require the addition of a small amount of whiting to make it
match the chemistry of Albany to a "T"!
The others who got analyses done last week are getting the results in the
mail
now.
