form galleries online -- call for pitchers (jugs)

While some of you were still off at NCECA raising cain, I brought up the idea
of creating online galleries of pottery forms, sort of along the lines of the Lark
Books "500" series -- a place to go to see lots of different examples of a
particular form. This was stimulated by the fun of seeing all the mugs that
came through the mug exchange, and by setting myself the task this winter
of making as many different mug shapes as I could. I volunteered to create
the web pages, if others would send images of their work for display.

Anyway, there was a fair amount of enthusiasm about the idea, so now that
the mug exchange is behind me, I'd like to go ahead with this new project.
I'm thinking of doing one form at a time, and because I've been playing with
pitcher forms lately, I think I'll begin there. (Being the originator of an idea is
so handy for getting your own way....)

So, here are the ground rules:

1) I'm looking for functional pottery forms, not wild and crazy stuff that
couldn't possibly be used. In that way, this is different from the Lark books.

2) In my definition, a pitcher (or jug if you prefer that term) is a vessel meant
for holding and pouring liquids, but it is not a teapot (we'll do those later).
Generally, pitchers have handles, but not necessarily. They have some kind
of pouring lip, but not the sort of tubular spout that a teapot or coffeepot may
have. Any size is fine.

2) Anyone may submit photos, and I will post them as long as they fit the
guidelines. I'm not jurying, and this is not a contest.

3) Each person may submit up to three images.

4) Send your image in JPG format and, if you know how, crop it to no more
than 500x500 pixels.

5) Send images to forms@lightonecandle.com, rather than my regular
address, please.

6) When I get enough, I will post images on my website at:
http://www.lightonecandle.com/pitchers.html

Thanks!

Chris
