First off you need metatags:
Go to my web site and at the home page select "page source" from your
view menu. You will see the html code of the page and the metatags are
at the top. When I made this web site I needed to manually write this
code in source mode, but some web site editors may have a more
automatic way of doing it..feel free to copy mine and then change the
words to describe your work.

Also you need to have the first text (first couple of lines)on your
home page be descriptive of your work. Note the text at the top of the
home page of my web site. This DOESN'T mean the graphic elements of
your page: jpgs and gifs are not seen by search engine bots.
Then you need to sign up or register with some search engines. Most
have info on their home page about this....some charge but some are
still free.
Then you need to try to get your url on other folks sites, like on
their links page. Everyone needs this, as links to your page make it
score higher with search engines. Try asking people to trade links with
you, like your local B&B or restaurant, etc.
This is a start!

you do, need to do, to be picked up by search engines. My son did the site
but we haven't figured this part out as yet.
Do you have to pay or is there a way to get on the search engines for
free???"

My husband who is webmaster for a few clubs and businesses says to do a
Google search with "meta-tags" in the subject. It will tell you how to
proceed.
If anyone needs a website done he is excellent as he has been the subject of
a couple of teachers at Wright State University when students ask what makes
a good website-he is used as the good one! Yay! Can't wait til I have some
stuff worthy of being put on a website for him to make me one.
Questions or examples? www.mediamoments.com or www.mvgrs.com
