I'm a Phil fan for tungsten carbide tools but Lee sent me this website for
Chris Henley tools. I ordered the Gerry Horning trimming tool and it's on
it's way. Chris makes some very sexy tools that i think Clayart ought to
look at. Don't know if Lee has already turned you on to this guy but have a
look http://www.hominid.net/toolpage2.htm
some fantastic Japanese style tools that Mel would be proud of. ladles,
ribs, butterflies, some neat stuff.
Cheers,
Tony

Tony, I didn't share it. I was happy to receive my "Horning
tools" from Chris a couple weeks ago. They work great, just like the
original, except where the old tool had a handle made of cheap dowel,
Chris are turned on a lathe from some really fine hard wood. They are
finished nicely and still smell of the oil they were polished with.
Jean was teasing me about walking around the house with one of these in
my hand. (One tool Chris made me, with a thick handle, reminds me of
the hardwood stick held in the palm used for limb striking in Filipino
Kali martial arts.) :-)
I am glazing for a woodfiring, but wiill put up photos when I have time.
