Here are the chicken broaster pictures of the designs that I make. I" DON'T
"sell these because I don't have any clay bodies for making flame ware, but
of all the ones that I have made only one has cracked. I'm currently
working on another design which is a refinement of #1, with a removeable
top for easier cleaning, a problem of the other 3 designs. These 3 designs
are made in one piece, holes are drilled when leather hard. All 3 designs
have" no " holes in the top, they have one large one lower for filling and
5/6 higher up that release steam and heat into the cavity of the chix. This
is because the top of the broaster seals the neck or throat hole of the
chix and keeps the steam/evapourate in allowing it to marinate and cook the
chix, and that is the "secret" of my design.
One caution to all,use only water based evapourates in your broaster.
I'll post cooking instructions for both oven and BBQ, along with my receipe
and ideas for evapourates, and injectionable for flavour.
