I have a friend who has done his own hi-fired dinning room floor, a floor in another home and he just finished reproducing about 20,000 low fire tiles for an art museum in a historical building in central Utah (now THAT's one he'll never do again) Took him three years as a one man band. If you want something unique and aren't just making your standard store bought look- alike tiles then I say go for it.

Subject: ceramic floor tiles?
Somebody told me that nobody in their right mind would try to make their
own ceramic floor tiles.
I have also been told that nobody in their right mind would wade through
the volume of posts involved with being onthe clayart list.
My logical conclusion: somebody on clayart has made their own ceramic
floor tiles.
Details, anyone? I am working at ^6 ox.
