coming and going kiln...or e k toi kiln

I heard about a Japanese kiln called the
(forgive my spelling) e kay toi kiln...
or the coming and going kiln...
seems it folds over itself...
one direction is the flame...
stocking chamber...the
opposite direction is the stacking
chamber...and it has a chimney...

more detailed info would be appreciated

Dear Karen,

That sounds exactly like my Kiln which I've always known as a Double
Cross-draught: the fire in the firebox goes (shall we say) from left to
right, up to the next level into the pot chamber then right to left to
the base of the chimney which is directly above the Stoke Hole, and
thence straight up and out!
