Hi all
As always, Clayarters have been magnificent! I asked a question and got lots
and lots of exceptionally helpful answers - no surprise there.
After much thinking and reading and adding up, I decided not to buy the 2nd
hand kiln. Various reasons, one of the most important being size, both inside
and out. It would have fitted into my proposed workshop space, but would have
taken up more space than absolutely essential. And 7 cu ft is more than I
will need for quite some time. Firing less frequently would be an option - but
I had to wonder if that would be a problem for me, especially as I am hoping
to try making my own glazes.
Anyway, one of the bonuses (boni?) of asking Clayart is that I now have a
whole lot of extremely useful information on what to know about when buying a
kiln! I am keeping a copy of all the helpful answers - thank you everyone for
all your help.
Cheers,
