glaze gurus - my white don't fit!

To all glaze gurus out there and anyone else who thinks they can help....

I have a white glaze I got from a woman who was closing shop. I bought
several tings from her and she said instead of her throwing out the glazes
did I want them? Well sure! Problem is her white does not want to co-operate
with my clay body.
I don't know the recipe, I just got a bucket of glaze. When it works (and it
has in the past) it is nice but most of the time it flakes off as it dries
(even thin) and then leaves bare spots after it's fired - yuck.
Is there anything I could add to help it adhere to my pots and be more even?
If not I am prepared to dump it. But how?? I want to be enviromentally safe
about this.
Thanks in advance,
Penni

Sometimes we just need to remember what the rules of life
really are... You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape.
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and
shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Morning - dry it out/package - take to a waste disposal that accepts
paints - possibly a once a year event. Not worth while taking time to
adjust an unknown. Spend the time developing/adjusting a known glaze. Or
send it to TC - He'll (eat) use anything. MarjB
