Position: Art: Ceramics/Design Instructor

DUTIES: Instruct courses including introductory and advanced ceramics with
emphasis on functional/wheel work, 2D and 3D design, art appreciation, and
introduction to computer graphics. Proficiency with Photoshop software on
Mac platform is desirable. Willingness to learn and instruct glass fusing.
Be prepared to teach in a variety of non-traditional venues, such as
Internet, interactive television, and other classroom combinations. Courses
will be offered both day and evening on campus, at high schools, extension
centers, and in units of the TDCJ-Correctional Division.

EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, 9-month contract. Salary commensurate with education
and experience per WTC salary schedule. Additional teaching may be available
during summer semesters. Date of employment is August 16, 2004.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in
subject is required. MFA degree is preferred. Ability to obtain Texas
Department of Criminal Justice security clearance required. Scurry County
residency preferred upon employment.
