Morning:
I was glazing a few pieces recently and wanted the inside one glaze, =
outside another with clean line... I waxed the glazed rim and some of =
the interior.
My wax has peeled off or lifted. Unlike latex resist, it removes some =
of the glaze. My wax is Baileys. It acted like a shivered glaze. =
Paper thin lifted segments. I tried waxing sooner and waxing later - =
same results. A mess.
I haven't tried a heated wax mix as yet. Is it just the Bailey's wax? =
timing? underlying glaze? I did not thin the Bailey's and applied a =
relatively thin coat. Any suggestions to this puzzle ? Thank you - =
