Just a suggestion but why remove the wax it will burn off in the kiln when
fired?

Morning:
I was glazing a few pieces recently and wanted the inside one glaze, outside
another with clean line... I waxed the glazed rim and some of the interior.
My wax has peeled off or lifted. Unlike latex resist, it removes some of
the glaze. My wax is Baileys. It acted like a shivered glaze. Paper thin
lifted segments. I tried waxing sooner and waxing later - same results. A
mess.
I haven't tried a heated wax mix as yet. Is it just the Bailey's wax?
timing? underlying glaze? I did not thin the Bailey's and applied a
relatively thin coat. Any suggestions to this puzzle ? Thank you - MarjB
