That paper is ceramic fiber and when it gets airborne is bad for
you! A long time ago we used to get paper made out of asbestos for
similar usage. It was used to catch glaze drips and act as wadding
and that is what the Kaowool does too. I suppose it is not as bad as
asbestos or you couldn't buy it.
Speaking of asbestos, the fiber is a good thixotropic additive. It
used to be used to thicken epoxy glue, etc.
