My wife and I are planning on going to Mexico next week, and we like to
visit local artists' studios while we are traveling. On our last trip to
Cancun (which I wouldn't recommend other than a few highlights like dining
at "La Habichuela" in downtown Cancun - exquisite) we had a hard time
finding local artists and when we asked at the hotel they kept pointing us
to street vendors. On our last day we came across Renato Dorfman's Galeria
which was a treat, but otherwise we came up empty.
I'd bet there were plenty of artists there, but we couldn't find them. So,
I figured I would ask here before we head out this time. We are heading to
the area around Tulum, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya. If anyone has any
good suggestions I would appreciate it.
