I have a simple solution to this peeping problem for all of us.
I once opened a kiln EARLY to "see" how a 6 piece set of matched white
geranium bowls had turned out. They looked great. I shut the kiln
satisfied that I had created something wonderful.
When I reopened the kiln later once it had cooled to room temp I
was "suprised" to see all six pieces had cracked. Only the stuff on the
top shelf cracked. The rest of the load was fine.
I now keep these pieces on a shelf near the kilns to REMIND me NOT TO
PEEK.
