Hay Crew,G.in da U.P.,
And a shout out to Fred and my special crew in Kalamazoo. Before I go too
far,Fred, Vince will gently "yell" at you as he did me, some crap about
cut/paste and including my whole gd letter. I sort of learned how but I
think better on a fresh sheet.
So, ah, wheres the mine?I'll go take a look. I do need to come downstate
soon to see Mom in Dearborn,Bruce Diebbol in Ann Arbor, and then K'zoo
to start moving the studio Karen Harrison so greatiously let me store
after my divorce in '90. And of course grandaughter Brynn. I could bring
you 50/100 lb. to fool with. I got 12,000 lb. stuff to move up so it
will take more than one trip in the "Girly-van"Aerostar and the homemade
International truck trailor, unless you know somone with a big truck
would help me. Last New Years 1990 I used a 26 ft. Rider w/liftgate. Got
comercial rate cause it took me a week. The weather didn't help. Had to
use the kiln wood to thaw as many bricks out as practable. I gave some
to K.I.A. for their Anagame in return for letting me help build and
fire. Have you had a chance to do that party?
What I'm going to do might help Diana. I'm adding an extra chamber to
the exit flue of the Ching-te-chen porcelain kiln p.20 of Rhodes and it
will be catenary arched(greatest volume/least surface area). I plan to
make the main chamber large enough for a door off the front "corner" so
I don't have to climb through the front where the hob sits. In front of
that will be the pignose. God I love thinkin 3-dementionaly! Gets both
sides of my brain visualizing, who says we can't make new brain cells!
Well, get the picture? Say houdy to Jeff & Paul & Yana and all,and let
Jeff know I'm still off the sause, he'll appreciate that,he knows, I've
had enough! Least I'm ready to get back into my clay frenzy mode,as if
it ever left, but then I live on clay time.

Gary, thanks for the offer of U,P. feldspar and I'd try 50lbs if you find the stuff --I don't have the address in Dickinson but will try to find it. Yes, I'll say hello to Paul and Yana for you but Jeff left recently to open his own studio in Cross Creek north of Harbor Springs. How long did you work at the KIA
