Hi Kathy!

I have the Brent table top & even though most of my work comes from my wheel I would not trade my little slabroller for all the gerstly in the mine! O.K., maybe ALL the gerstly but nothing LESS then that would get me to part with with it! I have the same "encroachment" issues & needed something for quickie slabs now & again the brent was the answer!!! What a dream it is! You won't be sorry if you decide to get one. I sure as heck wasn't! The neat part is it looks SOOOOO CUTE sitting on my work table I have to smile everytime I look at it! How many pieces of equipment can you say that about!

P.S. I have NO connection to Brent what so ever! Just a happy customer.
Rollin', Rollin',Rollin' keep thoes slabs a'rollin...........

Have a GREAT one!

and advic...

Hi Kathy,

I used a Brent mini SRC for several years until I had room and cash to
purchase a larger one. I liked it, although it was quite a bit harder to turn the
SRC handle than the wagon wheel handle I have on my slab roller now. I
attached it to the table it was sitting on which helped some. I also rolled the clay
in one direction and then turned it over and a quarter turn before rolling it
again. This slab roller will make about 15" square slab of several
thicknesses if you use shims. If you roll it thicker, you can then thin it out by
using a large wooden rolling pin, alternating sides as you roll, until you get it
to the desired thickness.

My mini SRC is currently looking for a new home. Are you interested? Merrilyn

and advice appreciated.

Don't do it. I had a Brent and the cable gets frayed. I had to replace
them several times. Then I got a 2" in barrel North Star and was quite
happy but I wore it out 4 years later. They rebuilt it for me, no charge.
Sold it and bought the 4" barrel North Star. The difference is like a hot
knife through cold butter. The only upgrade I would like is it have an
electric motor.

Good luck.
