We've got two workshops coming up this summer at Utah State University.
The first, on high temperature wood firing, runs from May 17-28. It
will be taught by my colleague here, Dan Murphy. For those of you who
have been looking for chance to learn the ins and outs of the "train
kiln," this is your chance.
The second, running August 2-13, will be led by New Zealand potter,
Richard Parker. This workshop will focus on Mr. Parker's making,
glazing and firing techniques for low temperature wood firing. Though
he is among the best known of New Zealand's potters, this will be his
first visit to the US, making this a rare opportunity.
