"damn" Tony,

After scrolling down I see this is at the behest of other potters.

Talk about lightening the proverbial load!!!

I which I was over the border I'd make the run.

There are some exotic items on the list. What's facinating is that this
accumulation must be over the life of your career.

Geez Joe it's not me going bankrupt. I'm just letting Clayart in on this
stash from some other pottery. Hell, I'm in for the long haul. When the
materials from my pottery goes on sale there will be a bag of mad cow bone
ash that Sheila will throw in with the deal.
cheers,
Tony

Dear Clayarters; here is an inventory of material available at bankruptcy
prices. The lesson in all of this is keep your work unique and don't try to
compete with industry- they will win.
The materials are about 1 1/2 hours west of Toronto.
cheers,
Tony

That all gave me a hardy chuckle.
----
We looked at a small horse property 6 months ago that I almost got
hooked in, the tell tale indicator of bloody knuckle failure was when
the seller looked me in the eye and said pointing to a literally one story
high pile of horse manure in straw and wood shavings (too lazy to
move it) "This is valuable; I plan on leaving it as much as I am
tempted to take it with me"...

---
Reminds me of the time I was a budding black and white
photographer who made his own prints....an ancient affable fellow
was retiring from his old black and white shop and by the time he got
to me with the residuals - he had set out 3 boxes on my porch.

Like the tin man ...there was a shamble of collegianous junk..full of
mis matched enlarger parts, development tanks without lids, flash
bulbs but no flashes, flashes but no flash bulbs, containers of
corroded chemicals packets.

...and low and behold a couple of dozen 100 sheet boxes of Agfa
Broviera N Grade Imported from Germany. Silver gelatine paper. Rich
and warm. Discontinued. A virtual kings ransome! Loaded with silver
that leached out into the development trays. The emulsion surfaces
were so deep the prints had to be focused midway into them to get a
sharp print.

There is always a silverlining in any shop of horrors. The misery.
My strongest period in photography lasted as long as the paper did.

Glorious. At 49 I'm going to "go-long" and party on the patio.

Thank you.
