Dear One Eyed jack: here i thought you spent your career in academia
teaching ceramics.
Have i not told you time and time again that conceptual beats functional 9
outta 10 times.
Sent our slides for cup book at Lark- two slides of functional a wood fired
sweetie and two tumblestacked teabowls with great ash and colour- rejected.
Now here is Sheila's acceptance into the book. I was dinking around with Ian
Curries hold the kiln at whatever temp Cone 6 is for 3 or more hours until
Cone 9 went down. The old time and temperature routine. Sheila got two very
nice white pitted sake cups out of it. I then took and sawed up a soft brick
and dipped it in carbon trap shino and fired it. This was the stand for the
cups to make them a PIECE! Pieces not pots- remember that!
Cheers,
Tony
P.S Wes no don't say you can only learn about glazes on Clayart. you can
learn how to pull a Lark.
