Basic Problem - discoloring on Duncan Christmas Red, Sun Yellow and Tangerine in the form of
tiny brown spots all over the surface during a 12 hour oxidation firing to cone 06 using a skutt
1227 with envirovent.

I spray the glaze onto my pieces using a Bailey's spray gun and apply to cone 04 slip cast egg
shapes. I lightly sponge my bisque piece before applying the glaze.

If you have any answers that could explain this problem I would greatly appreciate the advice.
Thanks in advance for your help. Also I am looking for a book that explores working with Duncan
glazes and a Duncan representative that is helpful.

Below is a list of things I have tried to solve the problem:
-Checked water for metal content
-Used different slips, including a porcelain
-Vacuumed the kiln and cleaned posts and shelves

Things I am going to do in the future. I would appreciate any criticism on the following list:
-Fire red alone
-Fire yellow and orange without red present
-Fire with envirovent off

Thanks Again.
