Rising Sun Pottery in Lincolnton, NC will host its annual Pottery Retreat
this July 3-9, 2004, at the Wildacres Retreat in Little Switzerland, NC. The
Retreat will consist of wheel and hand building classes with lots of free time to
work on your own projects. We will do one Cone 10 gas reduction firing and
several days of Raku firing.

The cost of the Retreat will be $300 per person, double occupancy. That
includes room, meals and workshop instruction, plus all firings. One 25 pound bag
of clay is included. Additional clay is extra. The studio will be available
24 hours a day for your enjoyment. Wildacres is a private Retreat far away
from the maddening crowd. If you are looking for a week away from TV, radio,
newspapers, cell phones, pagers, the husband/wife-boy/girlfriend, the kids or
life in general, here is your chance.
E-mail me here or call Rising Sun Pottery, 704-735-5820. Space is limited so
don't wait.

Instructors for the Retreat will be Jinny Hargrave, owner/clay instructor at
Carolina Clay Connection, Charlotte, NC teaching organic hand building and
Gary Lee, owner/clay instructor at Rising Sun Pottery, Lincolnton, NC teaching
wheel thrown forms.

Gary didn't mention that Wildacres Retreat is less than half an hour from
Penland School and there are many many potters in the area to visit. And the
food is great. You can see their website at http://www.wildacres.org
