After finding out that the clear glaze I was using for classes at the rec
center had lead in it (Duncan GL612), I had the center purchase Duncan
IN1011clear transparent glaze. This glaze turns our clay (Standard 105)
quite yellow and though the kids don't seem to notice, the adults are
unhappy with the change. Since there are no facilities for mixing glaze at
this small studio, I would like to try another commercial glossy transparent
clear glaze. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks,
Carole

I don't know the names of the glazes but we have always used Amaco lead
free. I am sure they have a web page.
Hope it helps,

Mayco has a leaf-free food safe "dipping clear" glaze that I think is the
best. I have used it to reglaze things that turned out pitted, and aweful, and
it works like a charm.
