Some caution should be used when using a rubber/canister type respirator.
OSHA requires that employees have a lung capacity test twice a year to prove that
the respirator will not hurt you.
While studio potters aren't usually held to OSHA standards, it is a good idea
to look at what they have to say about health and safety.
If you do have any kind of respiratory issues, perhaps you should talk to a
doctor about a lung capacity test.
