I am having a situation where my glazes are having small like "gas
bubbles" seaping through the glaze when fired. Has anyone any
suggestions?
I currently bisque fire to ^06; glaze fire to ^6. It's almost as if there
are still some 'gases' seaping out through the glazes. Both
commercial and self made glazes are doing this. This is happening
with porcelain and stoneware.
I've also tried to lightly "rub" the surface of the glaze before firing to
make sure there are to tiny air bubbles captured and/or are
smoothed out.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated (or suggestions of what to
try)
