Hello All

I have not been happy with the results of electrical tape, and I've been =
avoiding RTV silicon sealant.
I was at the automotive store today and picked up some "Double Stick =
Trim & Attachment Tape" It worked GREAT... My Venco has not pulled down =
this low in a long long time.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The description on the back says "Use to attach to body side molding or =
to mount lightweight accessories.
made by Tyco Adhesives. the have a website but I couldn't find it on =
there, the website is geared more to commercial customers.=20

Basically it is a 5/8 inches rubber with adhesive on both sides...

Peter,
I've been using RTV blue. When I use it, I need to be careful with
excess on the inside.
With gaskets and such, you want to be careful. You need to ask
yourself about how
hard this stuff is to remove with a gasket scraper? The tube is
Aluminum and can knick
very easily.

You also want something that can squish down easily and fill any voids.
You don't
want to warp or crack the tube.
